Grade 8

Mr. Emmanuel Gozo is the 8th grade homeroom teacher and teaches 7th/8th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies for Saint Joseph Catholic School, a Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida.  He has his Bachelor's degree in English from the University of South Florida.

Grade 7

Ms. Molly Howell is the middle school science and math teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School, a Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida. She is a current member of the Alliance for Catholic Education Teaching Fellows and is a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a double major in Math and History.

 

Grade 6

Lisa Vincent is the 6th grade homeroom teacher and teaches Middle School Religion for Saint Joseph Catholic School, a Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida.  She has his Bachelor's degree in English and Sociology from the University of Iowa and a Masters degree in Education.  She is certified in Elementary Education and Physical Education in the State of Florida. 

Grade 5

Mrs. Fleischmann is the fifth grade teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School, a Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida. She is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree Elementary Education. She came to St. Joseph seven years ago with the energy and desire to inspire her students.

Grade 4

Kelly Newman is the 4th Grade Teacher for Saint Joseph Catholic School, A Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida.  She has her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education Grades K-6 from Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore, Maryland.  She is certified in Elementary Education. She has been teaching for 23 years. She has also been the Producer of Educational Services for America Online, The Director of a Britannica Learning Center- from 1989-1992 and was hired by Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc. to develop a tutorial program for the Chicago Public Schools in 1996.  

 Mrs. Kelly Newman loves watching children become excited about learning!

Grade 3

Mrs. Musick is the third grade teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School, a Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida. She is thrilled to be working at the school that she attended as a child and strives to continue that family atmosphere in her classroom.

 

Grade 2

Michele Renteria is the 2nd grade teacher for St. Joseph Catholic School, a Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida. She is the mother of four darling children and is excited to share her experiences from living across this great country with  her second graders.  

Grade 1

Arlene Smith is the First Grade Teacher for Saint Joseph Catholic School, A Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida.  She has her Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Inter-American University in San German, Puerto Rico. She is certified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and English Literature grades 6-12 . Arlene has been teaching for 34 years and finds teaching a new and fresh experience each year. Teaching is definitely a learning experience for all involved in the process. 

Kindergarten

Mrs. Hazard is a kindergarten teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School, a Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida. Along with Ms. Odi, Mrs. Hazard shares her love of learning with some of the youngest learners in the school. Throughout the school year, the kindergarteners learn to become good readers, good mathematicians, good citizens, and great Catholics. We look forward to learning about the saints for All Saints’ Day and to reminding the school when we have had 100 days of school.

Ms. Elizabeth Baker is a kindergarten  teacher for Saint Joseph Catholic School, A Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida.  Not only is Ms. Baker excited to teach kindergartners at the school of her childhood, but she is still an active member of the St. Joseph Parish.  She gets remarkable pleasure in watching her students grow into elementary school students and excellent scholars that are ready for first grade by the end of the year.

EC-4/VPK

The Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) was implemented in 2002 in order to give ALL of Florida's four-year-olds access to a quality prekindergarten educational experience. The VPK program is FREE to families and does not have any income requirements or restrictions.

The Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) is designed to prepare Florida’s children for kindergarten and develop the skills they need to become good readers and successful students. VPK includes standards for literacy skills, strict accountability, appropriate curricula, substantial instruction periods, manageable class sizes and qualified instructors. The Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County administers the Voluntary Prekindergarten Program at the local level which includes registering child care providers and providing applications and information to parents.

Mrs. Wendy Lampinen and Sr. Nivia Arias are the early childhood teachers at St. Joseph Catholic School, a Notre Dame ACE Academy in Tampa, Florida.  Along with Mrs. Maria and Ms. Diana, they are excited to spend their time living, loving, and learning with her young scholars.  They are especially excited to build great reading habits, interpersonal skills, and a lifelong love of learning!
