Fence Replacement Part 2

Dear Parents / Estimados Padres,

As you surely remember from December, we have been in the process of replacing the fence from the damage caused by recent hurricanes. While it took longer than we would have liked, the work is complete.

We began in December by replacing the fence along Walnut Street and have now replaced the fence on MacDill Ave and Cherry St. including an expanded gate.

These improvements have been made possible due to the generosity from the Office of Bishop Gregory Parkes. He was grateful for the contributions that the St. Joseph community has made in the community over the years and for their previous support of the Disaster Relief Fund. We are truly grateful as well for their generosity.

Como seguramente recordarán de diciembre, hemos estado llevando a cabo el proceso de sustitución de la cerca debido a los daños ocasionados por los recientes huracanes. Si bien la tarea tomó más tiempo del que nos hubiera gustado, los trabajos ya han concluido.

Comenzamos en diciembre reemplazando la cerca a lo largo de Walnut Street y, a la fecha, hemos sustituido también la cerca en MacDill Ave y Cherry St., lo que incluye una puerta de acceso ampliada.

Estas mejoras han sido posibles gracias a la generosidad de la Oficina del Obispo Gregory Parkes. Él agradeció las contribuciones que la comunidad de St. Joseph ha hecho a lo largo de los años y su apoyo previo al Fondo de Ayuda para Desastres. Nosotros también estamos profundamente agradecidos por su generosidad.

Congratulations to 2nd Grade and Kindergarten for passing their goals of selling 80 tickets each. They are the two classes in the lead for the Bowling Party as we speak, but there are still two more weeks to go as we are more than halfway to the school goal of selling 800 total tickets.

Congratulations to 2nd Grade for selling the most tickets in the second segment! You will be rewarded with an ice cream party to come. 

There is still a month to go for the drawing and we are almost halfway to our goal! In order to reach the goal, all each student has to do is sell their four tickets and we will reach it. Each student that sells their four tickets will be entered into a drawing for a series of prizes to be announced after Easter.

In addition, the class that sells the most overall tickets will get a pizza party AND a field trip to Pinchasers. You can see the current standings here: https://www.stjosephtampa.org/drawing Tickets are available online or in the office. 

¡Felicidades a los alumnos de 2.º grado por vender la mayor cantidad de boletos en el segundo segmento! Serán recompensados con una fiesta de helados que se celebrará próximamente.

¡Aún falta un mes para el sorteo y ya hemos recorrido casi la mitad del camino hacia nuestra meta! Para alcanzar este objetivo, lo único que cada estudiante debe hacer es vender sus cuatro boletos; de este modo, ¡lo lograremos! Cada estudiante que venda sus cuatro boletos participará en un sorteo para ganar una serie de premios que se anunciarán después de Pascua.

National Meat Day - Thank you!

Queríamos expresar nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a todos y cada uno de ustedes que se ofrecieron como voluntarios, hicieron donaciones y asistieron al Día Nacional de la Carne de este año. ¡La 5.ª edición anual del Día Nacional de la Carne ha sido la más exitosa hasta la fecha y sigue creciendo! Más adelante compartiremos más detalles sobre su éxito, pero por ahora: ¡gracias! ¡Los esperamos a todos en la 6.ª edición anual del Día Nacional de la Carne, el 10 de abril de 2027!

Tenemos programados algunos eventos más de los que hablaremos en las próximas semanas:

1. La West Tampa Little League y St. Joseph celebrarán una ceremonia de «Revelación del Campo» el 10 de abril de 2026 para festejar la colaboración entre ambas instituciones educativas.

2. Seussical, Jr., una producción del Drama Club de St. Joseph, se presentará los días 30 de abril y 1 de mayo en la cafetería, sobre el Gilda y Joe Capitano Sr Family Stage.

3. El sorteo de la camioneta se llevará a cabo el 3 de mayo. ¡Actualmente hemos alcanzado el 45 % de nuestra meta! Pronto se anunciarán nuevos premios...

Dear Parents / Estimados Padres,

Who will win the second ice cream party? The class that sells the most tickets between February 13 and March 13 will earn it! So far, 2nd grade has sold the most but 4th grade is close behind with 5th grade and 7th grade just a short distance behind them. Get those tickets in by March 13. 

Kindergarten had a great time last Friday. 

¿Quién ganará la segunda fiesta de helados? ¡La clase que venda más boletos entre el 13 de febrero y el 13 de marzo se la ganará! Hasta ahora, 2.º grado ha vendido más, pero 4.º grado le sigue de cerca, con 5.º y 7.º grado a poca distancia. ¡Consigue tus boletos antes del 13 de marzo!

Los niños de kínder se lo pasaron genial el viernes pasado.
